Bakery fined by Guwahati Municipal Corporation

GUWAHATI: The Health and Enforcement branches of the Guwahati Municipal Corporation (GMC) on Monday conducted an inspection drive in the Bhetapara, Basistha road and Kanaklata Path areas of the city.

A total of 10 shops/business establishments were inspected during the drive and the management of one bakery - 'New Royal Bakery' - was fined Rs 10,000 for operating the unit in unhygienic conditions.
