Bhupen Hazarika Foundation remembers former CM Tarun Gogoi

GUWAHATI: The Dr Bhupen Hazarika Foundation (BHF) has expressed grief over the demise of former Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi and stated that he will be remembered by the foundation for taking initiatives to preserve the memories of Sudhakantha Bhupen Hazarika.

BHF secretary Dipankar Hazarika said Gogoi's initiatives led to the establishment of Bhupen Hazarika Samadhi Khetra at Jalukbari. Gogoi worked in a timely manner to preserve the belongings of Sudhakantha at the Srimanta Sankaradeva Kalakshetra, said the secretary.

"TarunGogoi's initiatives are being acknowledged by the foundation wholeheartedly. He will be remembered among the masses," he added.

The BHF said that, BhupenHazarika's son Tej Hazarika and his family have offered their condolences to the bereaved family.
