Bir Raghav Moran Divas to be celebrated in Guwahati

GUWAHATI: The Bir Raghav Moran Divas will be observed under the aegis of the Directorate of Cultural Affairs on November 19 at the Srimanta Sankardev International Auditorium, Kalakshetra. Notably, the State government has instituted a new award in memory of Bir Raghav Moran which will be conferred from this year onwards, upon individuals exceptionally contributing in the field of academics, social justice, and economic development through agriculture. The award will carry a cash price of Rs 2 lakh along with citations and mementos. The award will be provided in every three years, a communiqué said.
