Birth anniversary of Sri Sri Bhubaneshwar Sadhuthakur celebrated in Guwahati

GUWAHATI: Shri Shri Govinda Mandir, Milan Nagar, Barbari, Guwahati is celebrating the 149th Abhirbhab Tithi of Shri Shri Bhubaneshwar Sadhuthakur with a two-day programme beginning from November 8, 2018. The Odhivas started in the evening on Thursday. November 9 is packed with programmes from the wee hours with the Mongolarti, followed by the prabhatphery (a cultural procession with a portrait of Sadhuthakur).

Pundit Moneshwar Sharma from Cachar had a prolonged katha session (discourse) on Shribhagwat Geeta from 10 am. The cultural programme is going to start at 3 pm and will continue till the Sandhya Arati. A one-act play – Khatol Pakok – is going to be staged from 9 pm. The drama has been written and directed by DDK-approved dramatist Shukendra Kumar Sinha who has an Assamese serial and a telefilm under the banner of TS Production, Dispur, Guwahati to his credit.

The drama centres around an activist fondly called as Khatol Pakok by his fellow beings. The role of Khatol Pakok is played by one of the veteran cine artistes Niranjan Sinha who has already acted in a number of cinemas. Other dramatis personae of the play are Sitangshu Sinha, Lakshmirani Sinha, Nirmala Sinha, Bijan Sinha, Sridham Sinha, Nilmohan Sinha, Falguni Sinha and others.
