BJP indulging in politics on fuel price: APCC

GUWAHATI, Oct 5: With the recent reduction of petrol prices, the BJP-led NDA government has been indulging in politics by taking a false credit. The petrol price was reduced not to relief the masses from price burden but rather to create a false propaganda before the election of four states, alleged APCC.

Notably, assembly elections in four states - Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh and Mizoram are impending. Talking to the reporters here on Friday, APCC president Ripun Bora said that the the reduction on petrol price is entirely motivated by political gains of the ruling party. “When series of protests rose against the BJP-led NDA government for souring price hike on petroleum products, they (Centre) said that the price factor is controlled and manipulated by the global players. If that was true enough, how could the government reduce the price now,” Bora argued.
