BJP leader Nibaran Lahkar seeks solution to the death of hundreds of fishes

GUWAHATI: The co-convenor of State Bharatiya Janata Party media cell Nibaran Lahkar submitted a memorandum to Fishery Minister Parimal Suklabaidya to form a team to find a solution regarding the death of hundreds of fishes on the pond located within the premises of Hoigrib Madhab Temple in Hajo. The age-old pond Bishnupushkar is home to a variety of fishes and turtles. In his memorandum, Lahkar urged the Minister to constitute a team to observe the reason of the deaths scientifically. He said that the age-old pond is related to the sentiments of the local people and thus a permanent solution should be figured.
