BJP president Ranjit Das strongly opposes Miya Museum at Kalakshetra

GUWAHATI: State BJP (Bharatiya Janata Party) president Ranjeet Kumar Dass has strongly opposed Congress MLA Sherman Ali Ahmed's proposal to construct Miya Museum at Srimanta Sankardeva Kalakshetra.

Addressing the mediapersons on Tuesday, Dass stressed that the BJP would never allow establishment of Miya Museum at Srimanta Sankardeva Kalakshetra.

"We will not allow construction of sar-sapori museum at Sankardeva Kalakshetra. Sar and sapori are two different concepts," said Dass. However, the State BJP president underlined that the Assam Government will definitely work for the development of people in sapori.

Further, he also termed the Congress and the AIUDF (All India United Democratic Front) as two sides of the same coin. He alleged that both the parties have communalized the Miya Museum issue to get votes. "There will be no opposition in Assam after 2021 assembly polls," he added.
