GUWAHATI: BJP (Bharatiya Janata Party) workers continued their protest in Kamrup (Metro) against the party leadership for leaving the West Guwahati seat to AGP (Asom Gana Parishad) candidate for the forthcoming polls.

Demonstrating at Boragaon near the National Highway, the workers demanded the top brass of the party to give the West Guwahati ticket to a BJP candidate.

Guwahati District Committee secretary Baleswar Rongpi, District Mahila Morcha vice president Dharitri Daimary, and several other workers took part in the demonstration.

They asserted that the saffron party is organizationally strong and its candidate will win the West Guwahati seat even if friendly contest is held with the AGP.

It is to be mentioned that today was fourth day of the protest in Kamrup (Metro). The BJP worker protested at Azara on March 7, Lal Ganesh on March 8, and Lokhra on March 9.
