Border Security Force opens gym and community hall in Guwahati

Guwahati: The Director General of Border Security Force (BSF), Rajni Kant Mishra, inaugurated newly constructed amenity community centre and a gymnasium at Guwahati Frontier HQ Campus, Patgaon on Tuesday.

The new facilities are seen as important to improve the quality of life and health of the border guards and their family members.

"The DG appreciated the efforts made by the Guwahati Frontier by bringing nose dive decline in smuggling and other criminal activities on the border despite adverse conditions and challenges. He emphasized that challenge in the future for force may increase for which we have to keep up our professional skills in tandem with modernization," an official statement said.

Mishra also assured the Seema Prahries that work for providing better infrastructure is going on in the force at a rapid pace and its result is visible on the ground. He further mentioned that BSF Guwahati Frontier is doing a commendable job in efficiently guarding the international border and also performing its social responsibility through Civic Action Program for the well-being of the border populace, added the statement.
