BSF Raising Day celebrations with patriotic band show on 1st December

GUWAHATI: BSF completes sterling 54 years in the service of the Nation on 1st December 2019. The force is celebrating its ‘Raising Day’ to commemorate this historic milestone. The country’s history will record the contribution of the first wall of defence’s i.e. BSFs valour, sacrifices and utmost dedication to the motherland in golden words. To mark the occasion of BSF Raising Day, BSF is organizing a series of events. In this series, on Saturday, BSF Guwahati Frontier organized a Patriotic Band show at Nehru Park, Guwahati. The students and teachers of Don Bosco high school, Sankar Dev Academy, Panbazar high school, Handique Girls College, Cotton University and NCC Scouts participated and BSF render mementoes to the school and college teachers on the occasion of BSF Raising Day celebration.

The Border Security Force - Brass and Jazz Band, Guwahati Frontier armed with drums, trumpets and bagpipes, displayed a symphony of soldierly music among the School/College apprentices and the civil congregation in the park. It gave an opportunity to masses to witness and experience the rich music, steeped in tradition and history of the force. The afternoon dazzling sunrays filled with patriotic and reverberation of drum beats, trumpets and bagpipes as the Bands give a symphonic display of wonderful tuning with heart touching lyrics, stated a press release.
