GUWAHATI: Great news for burger lovers and foodies as the American multinational chain of hamburger fast food restaurants 'Burger King' will be now available in Guwahati city.

On Friday 1st April the Burger King Company has announced the launch of the first restaurant in the major city of the state of Assam.

The Burger King has opened its outlet in the Lachit Nagar area of Ulubari opposite Pantaloons in Guwahati.

The company known internationally for its flame-grilled burgers has gained massive profits over the years by serving the best taste products.

With this new initiative of opening its restaurant in Guwahati, the company continues to innovate on its signature hamburger with very special and unique offerings.

The Chief Marketing Officer of Burger King, Kapil Grover said that the company is delighted to finally open its restaurant in Assam's Guwahati which is the gateway of northeast India.

He added that the city has always been a flagbearer of food, culture and fashion in India and finally the company found a home for its whooper and everything else on the menu.

The CMO concluded his statement by saying that Burger King is looking forward to serving the people of the region in their way.

Burger King founded as Insta-Burger King in 1953 is acclaimed worldwide for its unique innovations and food items with amazing taste.

It may be mentioned that Burger King at present has its restaurant chains in Indian states like Delhi, Mumbai, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, West Bengal, Rajasthan and Telangana.

Another update for the foodies to cheer is that more than 50 new restaurants including local, national and international are working to open in Guwahati in the upcoming months or weeks.

Apart from Burger King, Taco Bell and Starbucks also recently opened their outlets in the Guwahati metropolis.

It seems like after two years of loss in the business sector due to the global COVID-19 pandemic, the city is gearing up for stable investments for various entrepreneurs through economic development.
