Bus Association Implores DTO To Reconsider Guidelines

GUWAHATI: The City Bus Association met with the District Transport Officer (DTO) and placed 4 demands in view of their strike on Wednesday. Members of the association informed that many road mishaps will occur in the absence of the handyman. The need for pasting photographs is futile because all the necessary documents are already verified before commencing duty.

“It is not possible to halt at the exact bus stops as many private cars block the area. Moreover, opening and closing both the bus doors at the two-minute time window is not feasible”, informed the President of the Mini City Bus Association, Panjabari zone. “The two-day strike was not called by the Association but was the joint decision of the bus drivers.”
