Cab Owner Rescued by Guwahati Police

GUWAHATI: Joydeep Choudhury, 42, of Industrial Land, Bonsapara, who rendered car rental services to travelers, was asked for a trip to Rangia through a phone call by one Saudlung Boro of Baksa on October 11. However, Saudlung Boro took Joydeep Choudhury to Tamulpur instead and abducted him and kept him prisoner at one Mrigang Boro’s residence in the same district. The next day, Saudlung Boro called Joydeep Choudhury’s family for ransom, however, the family immediately notified Fatasil Ambari police station. The police immediately sprung into action and while investigating, recovered Joydeep Choudhury’s Alto car (AS 01 JC 8801) at Tamulpur on October 12 and also unearthed Saudlung Boro. On October 13, Mrigang Boro was also arrested and Joydeep Choudhury rescued after Saudlung Boro’s confession. Guwahati commissioner of police Deepak Kumar informed the media that the main culprits behind the entire incident are Saudlung Boro and Judas Daimary. Daimary is linked with NDFB cease-fire fiction.
