Cab Union Demands Justice For Murdered OLA Driver

GUWAHATI: After the unfortunate incident of the murder of OLA cab driver Sansumar Ramsyari on April 4, there has been uproar among cab operators demanding justice for the brutal murder of Ramsyari. The All Assam Cab Operators Union President, Ismail Ali commented, “We have been persistently pressing upon the government to oversee the safety of owners and drivers of rented vehicles but to no avail. Reports of numerous deaths and cars getting stolen have been making the news, but the government pays no heed.” Ali informed that the Union condemned the government for not being able to protect the OLA cab drivers and demanded capital punishment for the criminals involved in the Ramsyari incident along with a relief of Rs 10 lakh towards the family of the deceased. He further demanded that the government work towards safeguarding the cab owners and drivers and warned that they will continue to protest until the government relents.
