Car rally flagged off from Guwahati reaches Gelephu in Bhutan
The Bangladesh, India, Bhutan, and Nepal (BIBN) Friendship Car Rally was flagged off from Guwahati by Cabinet Minister Pijush Hazarika on Thursday morning.

GUWAHATI: The Bangladesh, India, Bhutan, and Nepal (BIBN) Friendship Car Rally was flagged off from Guwahati by Cabinet Minister Pijush Hazarika on Thursday morning. Organised with the theme ‘connecting neighbours’ this event is organized by the North East Federation on International Trade (NEFIT) and passes through India, Bhutan, Bangladesh, and Nepal. Retired Professor of IIT Guwahati, Dr. Anup Gogoi, is leading this car rally along with General Secretary of NEFIT, Mrinal Hatkhowa.
Speaking on the occasion, Pijush Hazarika mentioned the possibilities of trade and commerce growing in the Southeast Asian region. Guwahati MP Queen Oja, MLA Diganta Kalita, and actor Jatin Bora also attended this event along with the participants and enthusiasts. The team will cover a total of 3000 km in 10 days.
Meanwhile, the rally reached Gelephu in Bhutan on Thursday afternoon. Earlier, NEFIT organized car rallies on an international level three times.
