Case against singer Jitul Sonowal

GUWAHATI, Aug 22: Allegedly for creating nuisance at Paltan Bazaar area, a case has been registered against state’s noted singer Jitul Sonowal at the Paltan Bazaar police station. According to police source, the singer came by an Uber cab somewhere from Beltola Survey and dropped at Paltan Bazaar in the wee hour of Wednesday. In the meantime, a scruple grew between the singer and cab driver following which individuals witnessing them gathered at the spot. At the same time, Constable Ranjit Baruah of Paltan Bazaar police station also arrived at the spot. According to the source, including some persons gathered on the spot, Sonowal also physically manhandled Constable Baruah for which a case was registered against him at the Paltan Bazaar police station by Baruah on the same day.
