Chandmari Police arrested Mobile snatchers from Rajghar

GUWAHATI: The Chandmari Police arrested two mobile phone snatchers from Rajghar road on Tuesday.

According to an FIR lodged by the victim - P Hazarika, the two accused snatched his phone while riding a scooter without number plate when he was waiting at Bylane number 2 of Rajghar Road on Tuesday evening.

Hearing hue and cry of Hazarika, the locals noticed the duo due to which they lost control of the vehicle and rammed it into the bicycle of a person named Rameswar Barman.

The timely action of the Chandmari Police personnel present at the spot led to the arrest of the snatchers. Later, Hazarika and Barman lodged the FIR at the police station. The accused have been identified as Rafiqul Islam (22) and Amir Hussain (20).
