Chief Minister meets Deori Students’ Union delegates

GUWAHATI: Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal held a meeting with a delegation of Deori Students’ Union at his chamber at Assam Legislative Assembly on Thursday. During the meeting, the chief minister announced that the birth anniversary of Jananeta Bhimbor Deori on November 30 would be celebrated by the state government and steps would be taken to establish a samannway kshetra and museum in memory of Bhimbor Deori at Bihpuria in Lakhimpur district. Land allotment for the purpose would be done by the district administration in consultation with Deori Students’ Union, he informed.
