GUWAHATI, July 19: The colleges across the state are gearing up to start classes for the next academic session from August onwards immediately after the admission process is over. However, undergraduate students who have already taken admissions in various colleges in the city can still change their institutions and courses.
According to authorities, members of a coordination committee will check the number of vacant seats available in all the colleges during the second week of August after the admission process in all the colleges is completed. “This process was started primarily for those students who were unable to get admission in any college because of high cut off marks,” informed a source of the authority.
However, other students who have opted to take admission in more than one college or have taken admission out of the state might also be able to avail admission during the process. For this, those students who are willing to change colleges will have to first undertake registration after which the coordinator would take the distribution process further.
