City expresses anger and sorrow over J&K attack

GUWAHATI: Guwahati citizens took to the streets staging a candle march on Friday following the Jammu and Kashmir attack which claimed the lives of many CRPF soldiers.

Shouting slogans like “Bharat Mata Ki Jai, Pakistan Murdabad”, the crowd mourned the death of the brave soldier’s untimely death. Maneshwar Basumatary of 98th Battalion of Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) from Assam also lost his life in the attack.

Meanwhile, organizations like Rashtriya Bajrang Dal and Gariya Mariya Yuva Chatra publicly burnt flags of Pakistan and voiced their fury towards the suicidal attack.
