Cleanliness drive conducted at Lachit Ghat in Guwahati

GUWAHATI: Guwahati Mayor Mrigen Sarania, Ramrup (M) DC Pallav Jha and GMC Commissioner MN Dahal took the lead to clean Lachit Ghat in the city today.

The cleanliness drive aims at keeping the riversides clean after festivals and celebrations.

Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma tweeted," It's been deeply gratifying to see that within hours of my appeal to keep our ghats clean post-Puja visarjan, Kamrup (Metro) dist administration & several NGOs undertook cleanliness drives. My gratitude. How nice if each one of us joins hands to make our society a better place."
