Cleanliness drive held in Umananda temple

GUWAHATI: The 1st Battalion National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), with the association of Umananda Temple Authority carried out cleanliness drive programme in the premises of Umananda Temple, Guwahati, Assam on Saturday.

During the campaign 40 NDRF personnel carried out cleanliness drive programme in the premises of Umananda Temple as per the mission and vision “Clean, Eco-Friendly & Plastic Free Umananda Temple”. NDRF team disposed off garbage, plastic waste, dry leaves, etc.

During campaign NDRF personnel generated awareness among devotees and visitors on cleanliness and proper waste disposal with an aim to intensify the focus on cleanliness.
