CM Sarbananda Sonowal directs for fast execution of WPT&BC schemes

GUWAHATI: In view of the reported complaints and grievances regarding the genuineness of the Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribes (ST) tag given to different community of people, a meeting held at the Janata Bhawa on Friday, decided to initiate an exhaustive research work to study the causative issues and find out a mutually all-aggregable solutions.

The meeting held under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal also decided to elicit responses and suggestions from all walks of life and stakeholders to decide on the modalities of the research study. Sonowal pointed out that there will be a social media platform where in the public in general can put in their suggestions to carry out the research work and asked Welfare of Plain Tribes and Backward Classes department to develop a social media platform for the purpose. The verification committee will assess the veracity to decide a roadmap for the purpose.
