GUWAHATI: The Communist Party of India (CPI) Assam State Council demanded judicial inquiry into the SI recruitment scam. State CPI secretary Munin Mahanta in a statement alleged that the ongoing probe in the scam is being conducted in such a way that it doesn't harm the BJP (Bharatiya Janata Party). "The Chief Minister is assuring that no one related to the scam will be spared. However, till date no Minister associated with the scam has been arrested nor been brought under investigation. After the arrest of the prime accused former DIG PK Dutta, the probe is being brought to an end by only blaming the companies that held the exams," he added. Further, Mahanta reiterated that an inquiry should be conducted by a sitting judge of the High Court.
