Communist Party of India to contest Thowra seat in the upcoming bypolls

GUWAHATI: The Assam State Council of CPI (Communist Party of India) will contest the Thowra seat in the upcoming bypolls.

This was stated by Munin Mahanta, secretary of the Assam State Council of CPI (Communist Party of India) while addressing media persons at the party's State HQs (headquarters) in Rajgarh, Guwahati on Wednesday.

The CPI has fielded Krishna Gogoi from the Thowra seat.
