Conference on diabetes held in Guwahati city

GUWAHATI: The biggest conference on diabetes in the North-East was held in the city on Sunday by the organization Counting Sugar in partnership with Association of Clinical Endocrinology (ACE) and Diabetes India.

The conference was unique in that learning was made fun. The sessions were interactive with expert panelists.

The basics of how a sugar reading can go wrong were the opening gambit of the meet. It was followed by how to fight the twin challenges of managing sugar in pregnancy. The nuts and bolts of cutting edge new diabetes medicines were discussed.

It was a fitting tribute to the vision of Dr Rajkumar Bhartia, who had spent his lifetime serving people of the North-East.
