Congress President Rahul Gandhi To Campaign In Barak Valley Today

GUWAHATI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the All India Congress Committee (AICC) President Rahul Gandhi are set to make their second visit to the state to campaign for their parties.

Rahul Gandhi is scheduled to visit the Barak Valley on April 9. He will fly in from New Delhi, land in Silchar and make his way to address a public rally at PM Ground, Panchgram in Hailakandi district at 11 am. Barak Valley holds two Lok Sabha constituencies, Karimganj and Silchar, which are included in the second phase of election on April 18. Congress Silchar candidate Sushmita Deb and Congress Karimganj candidate Saurav Das will accompany Rahul during his rally. Following which, he will make his way to Orissa and eventually Bihar. Prior to his visit on Tuesday, he paid his first visit on April 3 and addressed rallies in Gahpur and Lakhimpur.

Narendra Modi will attend two rallies at Kamalpur and Silchar each on April 11. Prior to his upcoming visit, he campaigned for his party at Gahpur and Moran on March 30.
