Coronavirus Pandemic: Assam Police reaching to people through social media

GUWAHATI: The Assam Police has been active over their social media handles during these tough times that arose due to coronavirus outbreak. The social media team of Assam police has been acting upon tweets and facebook messages and providing all kinds of help to the citizens.

Recently, a person reached out to Assam police and Gauhati police over Twitter and asked for help in reaching hospital for his pregnant wife’s check up. To this, the Assam police replied within minutes and the Guwahati police help the couple to reach the hospital. The department is helping people with medicines and food items. Not only people, Guwahati Police personnel are also taking care of the stray dogs. In various areas the department has taken initiative to feed the stray dogs along with city-based NGOs.
