Couple arrested for possession of drugs in Guwahati

GUWAHATI: The Special Operation Group (SOG) of Central Police district under the Guwahati Police Commissionerate, and the Geentanagar Police conducted a raid at Udayanagar under Noonmati PS on Saturday night and arrested a couple for possession of drugs.

Arup Baishya and his wife Anu Baishya were arrested after drugs and syringes were recovered from their possession. The team of SOG and Geetanagar Police seized 12 vials of suspected heroin from them. A case (317/2021) has been registered under Geetanagar PS.
