Couple Die in Mishap in Jalukbari Area of Guwahati

GUWAHATI, Sept 14: A truck bearing registration number AS 18 C 0229 hit a scooter with registration no AS 01 DM 1518 from behind at Padumbori area under Jalukbari police out post in the city today. As a result the scooter rider Tapan Das died on the spot while his wife Rubi Deka Das who was rushed to Guwahati Medical College Hospital with serious injuries died in the hospital. The Das couple were residents of Jalukbari PWD Colony. Meanwhile, postmortem has been done on the deceased.
