COVID-19: 75,000 people complete 14-day quarantine in Assam

As many as 75 thousand people in Assam, who returned to their homes from different parts of the country due to the outbreak of new coronavirus pandemic, completed a 14-day quarantine period, on Friday. Informing that Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said, “Our doctors and medical staff have started tests and necessary screening of all these people. If they do not show symptoms of any COVID-19, they will be allowed to go back to their homes.” The Minister termed the day of April 14, 2020, as a 'big day' for Assam. He also said that these people had returned to their homes after March 28 and they have been kept in quarantine.
