CRPF IGP Prakash D Extends New Year Greetings

GUWAHATI: IGP,CRPF, North Eastern Sector, Prakash D, IPS has conveyed his wishes to the people of Assam on the New Year. On behalf of the CRPF, he thanked all the security agencies in the State and the people of Assam for their cooperation. During the year- 2019, CRPF have lost 44 precious lives in a vehicle-borne suicide bomber attack in Pulwama (J&K), out of which one martyr Late ManesarBasumatary was from the Northeast, a press release said. The year 2019 has been memorable for North Eastern Sector, CRPF as a number of successful operations were conducted in AOR in which 93 insurgents / suspects / linkmen were apprehended, besides the seizure of 26 arms, 769 ammunition, 12 magazines, 03 grenades, 600 gelatin stick, 1,200 detonators etc.
