DC Biswajit Pegu, CP Harmeet Singh inspects Assam-Meghalaya boundary

GUWAHATI: Tension escalated at the Assam-Meghalaya inter-state boundary after the Meghalaya Energy Corporation Limited (MeECL) erected electricity poles at Dakshin Ganesh Nagar under the Basistha area here on Monday.
On receiving information, the Chief Minister directed the Home Department and the Deputy Commissioner to inspect the area. Acting on the CM's direction, Kamrup Metro Deputy Commissioner (DC) Biswajit Pegu and Commissioner of Police (CP), Guwahati Harmeet Singh conducted an inspection of the area on Tuesday.
