Deputy Director of Panchayat & Rural Development (P&RD) Remanded to Judicial Custody

Guwahati, Aug 12: Deputy Director of Panchayat & Rural Development (P&RD) Safiul Alam who was arrested on Saturday for allegedly molesting a 16-year old girl at the Madhurya Enclave premises at Hatigaon was produced before the court today, The court remanded the accused to judicial custody. Earlier the Hatigaon Police registered a case (case no 571/18 U/S 448/36/ 511/354 IPC RW 8/12 POCSO Act 2012) against the accused.
