Dilapidated HB Road irritates commoners

GUWAHATI, July 14: Although the artificial flood has relatively been reduced in Guwahati this year, the dilapidated roads in and around the city has been upsetting the residents for month after month. Under the given situation, the students, office goers, local residents and the commoners plying through HB Road near Dighalipukhuripar have been facing the similar fate. Talking to The Sentinel, the residents of the locality said that the road has been facing negligence from the department concerned for the last couple of years. Moreover, the street vendors’ position on either side of the road and the waste produced by them turns the road uglier. The residents added that the students of Cotton College (University) and Handique Girls’ College have been the regular sufferers of the decaying road.
