Dispur police arrested extortionist in Guwahati

GUWAHATI: The Dispur police on Thursday arrested one Abdul Rajak from Kharguli for trying to extort Rs 50 lakh from a city-based businessman.

Police sources said that Rajak is an auto rickshaw driver by profession and hails from Dhubri.

A case has been registered in this connection (1931/2022)
