Dispur Police arrested fraudster from Jalukbari

GUWAHATI: Dispur Police arrested a fraudster on Monday. Abdul Hainagri, a resident of Bijni, was arrested from Jalukbari on Monday. He had allegedly duped many people by promising to give them jobs and taking money from them.

Hainagri had allegedly taken Rs 70,000 from a woman named Hazera Begum in Barpeta and promised to get her permisson to start a stone quarry. He was arrested by Dispur Police from Jalukbari and was produced before the court on Tuesday. He was remanded to one-day police custody.
