Dispur Press Club awards declared on March 29

GUWAHATI: The Dispur Press Club (DPC) has announced the awards for the year 2020 to the people for their contribution in different aspects of the society. DPC will confer the awards on March 29 on the day of its establishment day.

Editor Sadin Anuradha Sarma Pujari has been selected for the Editor Award-2020 for her contribution in the field of Journalism. Chief Public Relations Officer (CPRO) of Assam Police will be awarded with Sangbaad Bandhov (Media Friend) Award -2020 for his special initiative in bridging a good relationship between the media and the police. Senior journalist of The Sentinel Mousamjyoti Baishya will be conferred with the Sangabadik Sangathok, Kalyan Award. Baishya has been selected for his active participation in materialization of different developmental schemes for the media persons.

Besides selecting Dr. Hitesh Saikia for the Jeevan Sanjivanee Award and renowned social worker Dr. Dibya Jyoti Saikia for Manavata Award (Humanity Award), the DPC will confer the Gyanjyoti Award to the director of Directorate of Technical Education Assam Dr. Atul Bora.

The names of the other awardees are Eva Mahanta of News 18 Assam North East for News Anchor Award, Arabinda Kalita for Philanthropist Police Award, Utpal Bonia for Udyogi Award, Lakhya Konwar for Youth Politician Award and Jitul Deka for Jagrata Yuva Award.
