Dispur Press Club awards in 29 categories for 2022 presented

GUWAHATI: The Dispur Press Club on Sunday gave away awards in 29 categories for 2022 to various recipients whose names were announced earlier.

Assam's Cabinet Minister Atul Bora and eminent actress Mridula Baruah attended the event as Chief Guests.

The recipients among journalists were, among others, Partha Chakraborty of The Sentinel for contribution to sports journalism; Pranay Bordoloi (DA News Plus); Biswajit Das (Asomiya Khobor); Senim Sultana Ahmed (Dainik Agradoot); Hemanta Majumdar (Niyomiya Barta); Hemen Barman (Asomiya Pratidin); Sanjay Roy (The Assam Tribune); Himashri Kalita (ND 24); Wahidur Rahman Khan (News Live).

Other recipients included Prasanta Jyoti Baruah (Lifetime Achievement) and Joint Commissioner of Guwahati police Partha Sarathi Mahanta.
