Doigrung Sand Scam: Two More Arrested

GUWAHATI, Aug 13: The BIEO (Bureau of Investigation of Economic Offence) arrested two more persons in the Doigrung sand mahal scam from Guwahati on Monday. With the arrest of protection range officer Jitendra Nath Dutta and sand mahal worker Mintu Saikia the BIEO has so far arrested eight of the ten accused in the scam. A case (25/17) was registered in connection with the scam that took place at Doigrung sand mahal in Golaghat district. DFO Rajib Kumar Das, range officer Praneswar Das and deputy ranger Mukul Ali Hazarika are among the six arrested earlier in connection with the scam.
