GUWAHATI, Jan 12: "TheBJP (Bharatiya Janata Party) will not accept individual application from any ticket seeker for the forthcoming polls," said the party's State president Ranjeet Kumar Dass while addressing the media on Tuesday.
Das underlined that the party is aware about the works of each and every party worker. Thus, there is no need for any member to submit application seeking party tickets.
"The party is conducting surveys and making people's report card based on which the candidates will be selected," said Dass.
According to sources, after Bhogali Bihu, the BJP will mobilize its party workers in booth level to gain organizational strength up to declaration of the election.
On Monday evening, BJP national president JP Nadda chaired a meeting at Amingaon where Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal, State Finance Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, president Ranjeet Kumar Dass, among other officials of the party were present. The meeting discussed polls strategies of the party, said sources.
