GUWAHATI: The State Election Department is going to publish the draft photo electoral roll on November 16, 2020. On behalf of the Election department, deputy commissioners and SDOs (Civil) will published the draft photo electoral roll in all district and subvisional headquarters in the State on November 16, 2020.
The Election department will publish the final photo electoral roll on February 15, 2021.
According to sources in the Election department, people can lodge claims and objections over the draft photo electoral roll from November 16 to December 15, 2020. The department will address the complaints during this intervening period before publishing the final photo electoral roll on February 15, 2021.
The Assam Assembly election slated for 2021 will be held with this photo electoral roll.
