Dramatist Sukhendra Kumar Sinha passes away in Guwahati

GUWAHATI: Sukhendra Kumar Sinha, a resident of Nizarapar in the Hengrabari in Guwahati who superannuated from the Assam Secretariat as a personnel secretary, passed away at a hospital in Guwahati today. He was 77. He leaves behind a son, a daughter-in-law, a daughter, and a son-in-law, besides his wife.

Sukhendra Sinha wrote an Assamese serial, Brahma, Bishnu, Maheswar. Guwahati Doordarshan did broadcast it. Apart from this, he had a few Bishnupriya Manipuri dramas to his credit. He was a member of the Bishnupriya Manipuri Sahitya Sabha and the Bishnupriya Manipuri Samaj Sanstha, Guwahati. Being a pious man, he was associated as the president of Govinda Mandir, Milan Nagar, Guwahati, and the Ashram at Radhakunda, Vrindavan in Mathura in Uttar Pradesh.
