GUWAHATI: Retained president of the BJP Assam Pradesh Ranjeet Kumar Dass is not likely to go for any drastic reshuffle in the formation of the State committee of the party for his three-year term. Such a move, according to party sources, is taken by taking the current political and social unrest in Assam.
A source in the party said, every time the present is elected or reelected reshuffles in the State committee and its morchas are regular. However, this time around the State party leadership is not going to make drastic changes in the State committee and its various morchas. One of the reasons behind such stand is the 2021 Assembly election in the State and the current situation. Most of party leaders, according to the source, are busy in party works with the people at the grassroots level. The source, however, said that whatever changes Dass will bring about will be over in two months.
