Draupadi Murmu will get votes of Opposition MLAs of Assam: Bhabesh Kalita

GUWAHATI: BJP's State president Bhabesh Kalita on Thursday hinted that the NDA candidate in the ensuing Presidential election, Draupadi Murmu, will get votes from Opposition MLAs in Assam.

Talking to mediapersons, Kalita said that the ruling BJP-led alliance has sufficient strength in the Assembly and Murmu will get a good number of votes from the State.

"You wait and see, we will get votes from even the Opposition in the Presidential election. But we don't want votes from the AIUDF," Kalita told mediapersons.

The Presidential election will be held on July 18.
