Drive against passenger vehicles: Kamrup Metro District Administration

GUWAHATI: The Kamrup Metro District Administration on Friday conducted enforcement drives in several areas of the city against share taxis (magic) and city buses for allegedly overcharging passengers and other motor vehicle offences. A total of 25 vehicles were seized during the drive that was conducted at Chandmari, Ganeshguri, Bharalumukh and Khanapara. Twenty-five cases of offences were registered under Motor Vehicles (Amendment) Act 2019 for flouting the rules.
