Assam: Drug Peddler Food Delivery Boy held by Paltan Bazar Police in Guwahati

GUWAHATI: A food delivery boy, who was peddling drugs, was arrested by the Paltan Bazar Police from the South Sarania area on Monday.

The arrest clears the city police's suspicion of food delivery boys selling drugs across the city. The accused have been identified as Brojen Das (21), who was associated with a popular food ordering and delivery platform.

During the operation, the police arrested two more peddlers — Subhankar Sarkar (20) and Gayatri Roy (40) — from the area.

In total, 13 vials containing suspected brown sugar weighing 6 gm have been recovered during the operation. All three peddlers are residents of the South Sarania area.
