GUWAHATI: A drunk woman created ruckus in the Gorchuk police station, Guwahati last night.

In a video, that has gone viral on the internet, it can be seen that a woman who was detained by the police shouted aloud in the police station premises. A wine bottle was seen on her hands while creating the nuisance.

A Uber driver who took the woman to the police station said that a boy sent her from a restaurant in his car.

"She was in an inebriated state. I did not wish to give a lift to her as our company does not permit this. But the boy who booked my car compelled me to give a lift to her," the driver added.

Notably is such a similar instance, Guwahati Police have filed a charge sheet against Rajkanya Baruah, the model who injured nine PWD labourers after she rammed her car into them on the night of October 1.

The charge sheet has come at a time when Rajkanya's bail plea is up for hearing.

Filing of the charge sheet means Rajkanya has been formally accused of having committed the offence. Rajkanya was arrested on October 7, five days after the accident. Her arrest happened after the entire case snowballed into a big controversy following bail granted to her by the police within hours of the accident that resulted in one man losing his legs.

Rajkanya was allegedly returning from an event held at Taj Vivanta in an inebriated condition when she hit nine labourers at Rukminigaon with her car.

After the incident, the Kamrup (metro) district administration issued a show-cause notice to Taj Vivanta to submit CCTV camera footage and the guest list of the event held on October 1.
