GUWAHATI: As part of its corporate social responsibility, DTDC Express Ltd, India's leading express parcel service provider, distributed hundreds of free masks and sanitizers to people at Ulubari point here on Friday.
Organized in association with Lions Club of Guwahati as part of a week-long initiative to help prevent further spread of the second wave of COVID-19 pandemic, DTDC Express Ltd will distribute free hand sanitizers and face masks at various locations of the city. These include Ganeshguri on April 24, Bhangagarh on April 26, Chandmari on April 27, Lakganesh on April 28, Adabari and Jalukbari on April 29 and Fancy Bazar on April 30.
Besides distributing hand sanitizers and masks, the people were also sensitized about COVID-appropriate behaviours and the necessity of following social distancing, wearing masks, hand sanitization and hand washing, etc.
DTDC Express Ltd's Northeast Regional Head Sukanta Biswas and other officials of the express parcel service provider took part on Day-1 of the distribution programme, which elicited a good public response, stated a release.
