Earthquake of 5.0 magnitude jolts Northeast

GUWAHATI: An earthquake of 5.0 magnitude on the Richter scale rocked Shillong, Tura, Guwahati and other major cities of NE at 6.17 pm on Saturday. There was no immediate report of any casualty or damage to property. The epicenter of the quake was 16 km east of Abhayapuri in Bongaigaon district in lower Assam.
